01 — The initiative
From classroom questions to a community.
Métodos em Pauta was created in November 2018 in Recife after a conversation about the distance between the way research methods are taught and the questions students actually bring to empirical research.
The project grew into a series of round tables, talks, workshops, and other events designed to democratize discussions about rigorous research, transparency, and reproducibility in Brazilian political science.
It also became a podcast, PodMétodos, where Amanda Domingos and Rodrigo Lins discussed research, science, and education with a practical and accessible approach.
